Description

Silence Does Not Begin When Sound Ends. It Begins When the Right Sound Starts.

Strike this bowl once. The tone that fills the room is not just sound. It is a vibration that travels through the air, through the floor, and into the body. Practitioners of meditation, sound healing, and yoga nidra have known this for centuries. The Tibetan singing bowl does not just make music. It makes stillness.

The DivyaMandir Tibetan Singing Bowl is hand-crafted in bronze and finished in traditional matte black. Inside, the seated Buddha in dhyana mudra is etched in fine detail, surrounded by a ring of Tibetan mantra script. The outer body carries etched yoga figures. Each detail is placed with intention. This is not a decorative replica. This is a working instrument built from a tradition that predates most of what we call wellness.

At 14cm diameter and nearly 1kg, this is a large-format bowl. It fills a room. It sustains. It invites you to close your eyes and stay.

Strike the rim with the included wooden mallet for a single resonant tone. Or circle the mallet slowly along the outer rim to build the bowl into a continuous hum. Both techniques work. Both settle the mind.

Key Details

  • Material: Bronze with traditional black matte finish
  • Engraving: Buddha in dhyana mudra (inner), Tibetan mantra script (inner rim), yoga figures (outer body)
  • Diameter: 14 cm
  • Height: 9 cm
  • Weight: ~932 gm (bowl) | ~1000 gm with mallet
  • Mallet: Wooden handle with red suede striking head, dual-play tip
  • Ideal For: Meditation, sound healing, yoga nidra, chakra balancing, space cleansing, gifting
  • Technique: Strike the rim for a resonant tone; circle the outer rim slowly for a sustained hum

How to Play

Hold the bowl on your open palm or place it on a flat surface. Strike the outer rim gently with the suede end of the mallet for a clear, sustained tone. For the singing effect, press the mallet lightly against the outer rim and move it slowly in a continuous circular motion. The bowl will begin to hum within a few rotations. Apply consistent light pressure throughout.

Care Instructions

  • Wipe the bowl with a soft dry cloth after use
  • Avoid water or liquid cleaners on the etched surface; they can dull the finish over time
  • Store in a padded cloth or pouch away from hard surfaces to protect the etching
  • Do not strike with metal objects; use only the included wooden mallet or a padded striker
  • The black finish may show fingerprints; a gentle buff with a microfibre cloth restores the appearance
