The tortoise, Kurma, is the avatar of Lord Vishnu who bore the Mandara mountain on his back during the Samudra Manthan. In the home and the workplace it stands for stability, patience and long life, and it is one of the most popular Vastu pieces.
The DivyaMandir Brass Tortoise carries Lord Ganesha seated on its shell, the remover of obstacles, with a ring of fine patterned borders running around him. Turn it over and you will find the Lo Shu grid engraved on the underside, the 3 x 3 magic square of numbers 1 to 9 used in numerology and Feng Shui.
Made in pure brass, it is small enough to sit on a work desk, a study table or the mandir shelf. Tradition places the tortoise in the north of a home or office, facing inward.
